1) What are the most interesting types of devices? Thinking about neurostimulation, implantable rhythm devices, optical surgical tools, robotic surgery assistants like DaVinci, etc. What else out there is cool and interesting?

2) What are the most lucrative fields right now for electrical engineers with specialties in embedded, portable, low power etc. I imagine there are lots but just wondering what people here thing about it all.
