It seems that science fairs have evolved quite a bit. I had a prize winning (no wait, that was in my imagination) exhibit about cheetahs in the wild, and I did well in that egg-drop thing (did all schools not do those?), but this girl just beat the skins off what I was doing at that age, literally.

Apparently mango skins are great for making biodegradable plastic, but now this 16 year old Turkish student has perfected the process using banana skins, too. Ok, I'm sure it isn't perfect, but it's definitely pretty cool.  Check out more here:
